Road Saw
Road saws feature a diamond blade that is mounted on a walk behind
machine requiring only one operator. Road saws or Slab saws as they
are sometimes referred to are an essential piece of equipment for
removing concrete bridge decks and flooring as well as cutting asphalt
and concrete roads for drainage, cables electrical wires and road
construction. We have both Diesel and Electric Road Saws capable
of cutting a depth of 21”for your entire flat surface cutting needs.
Wall Saw
Wall sawing employs a circular blade on a track-mounted machine.
Wall sawing is used when the conditions around the cut make it
impossible to use a road saw. Vertical walls, steep inclines, even
upside down cuts are all possible with a track mounted wall saw
systems. Wall or track sawing is typically use to cut precise door,
vent and window openings. Straight cuts as well as beveled cuts to a
depth of 36” are possible with the wall saw. D and D have both
manually operated and remote operated, diesel and electric wall saws
making it possible to work in any conditions.
Wire Sawing
Wire sawing involves the use of a stainless steel wire with
diamonds embedded onto its exterior surface; the wire is wound to
as much as a 50hp drum powered by either a diesel or electric
motor. Wire sawing is ideal for removing large sections of heavily
reinforced concrete, such as piers. Towers and bridge sections.
Wire sawing also has the unique ability to cut steel structures of
any shape or dimension. This technique is also implemented when
the workspace surrounding the cut is restricted.
Core Drilling
Core drilling techniques are used when precise, circular cuts are
needed. Holes of almost any diameter are easily drilled to make
openings for plumbing, electrical and HVAC installations. Core
drilling is also commonly used to create holes for routing cables
or placing anchoring bolts, installing load carrying devices or
dowel bars, or for concrete sample analysis. D and D have the
ability and the experience to drill virtually any size hole to
your required depth.
Curb Cutting
Curb Cutting is generally used to provide vehicle entryways,
handicap ramping and the removal of median and parapet walls. The
curb cutter is a self contained diesel powered machine requiring
only one operator. The curb cutting unit is able to cut as much as
50 feet of curbing or walls per hour utilizing its own water
source. The speed and efficiency of the curb cutting operation
make the demolition and rebuilding of curbs a thing of the past.
Selective Demolition
D and D have a full fleet of trucks, and excavation equipment to
compliment its cutting and coring division making us the ideal
contactor for complete demolition projects. Full size excavators,
bobcat mini excavators, bobcat skid steer units with all the
available attachments are all part of the D and D group of
companies. Estimating, cutting, removing, and the recycling of
your concrete material make D and D truly a full service

Excavators
D & D utilizes both full size and mini excavation equipment to
complement the concrete cutting service, providing the safe and
efficient removal of concrete and the excavation of machine bases,
pits, basements and footings. We offer a wide variety of accessories
for our excavating fleet to expedite any construction schedule. Boom
mounted rock drilling is one of our specialties with drilling
capabilities up to 4” in diameter. Slab buckets, Digging buckets,
finish buckets, Hoe rams, and compaction are all services offered
through D and D and its fleet of excavators and experienced operators.
Skid
Steer
D & D’s Bobcat skid steers are an essential component in the day
to day operations of the cutting and removal of concrete. The
versatile Bobcat line with its numerous attachments create an
unlimited number of opportunities. D and D Bobcats are used to
remove concrete slabs, assist in excavation, finish grade, as
well as sweep for asphalt milling and construction clean up.
Trucking
D and D’s truck fleet is a direct compliment to our Road Shouldering
and Cutting and Coring divisions. Live bottom trucks supply stone to
our shoulder spreaders, live bottom trucks utilize a belt feed system
which eliminates the need to raise and lower a box making live bottom
trucking the safest form of aggregate placement. D and D’s dump truck
fleet removes concrete and supplies fill for concrete removals. D and
D trucks are also used for the delivery of asphalt, granular material
and in the excavation business.
