Ben Miller Bridge
D and D’s years of experience come into play during every bridge
reconstruction project. The Ben Miller Bridge in Goderich showcases D
and D’s ability to safely and efficiently cut and remove large
concrete structures such as bridge decks and highway overpasses. D and
D takes great pride in it Bridge reconstruction track record having
worked on projects throughout Ontario.
William Allman
Arena
D and D was an integral part in the rehabilitation of the William
Allman Arena in Stratford, Ontario. We were responsible for the
cutting, removing and disposal of the arena floor, concrete stairwells
and equipment entrances. The new design also incorporated numerous
doorways and halls for change rooms and maintenance areas. D and D utilized all of their resources, Wall
Saws, Road Saws, skid steers, Excavators and Trucking to complete
this project in a safe and timely manner.
Magna Industries (Schuler Pit)
D and D was contracted to cut and remove a Containment pit at Magna
Industries in St Catharines. The pit consisted of 36” floors and 18’
walls. The thickness of the flooring made it necessary to wall saw the
entire structure.
Alterra
Core Lofts
D and D were responsible for all the cutting and removal at the
Alterra Core lofts in Hamilton. The Core loft project involved the
conversion of a vacant commercial building to condominiums. D and D
was able to cut and remove large sections of the exterior walls using
our remote wall sawing units to create openings for picture windows
drastically altering the outside appearance of the building.
St. Lawrence Seaway D & D provided concrete cutting, coring and demolition services
for the retrofitting of the Welland Canal Lock system. Our work has
included but was not limited to the Lock Gates, Gate Houses, Ship
Arrestors and the Canal Walls. We have developed our technical skills,
utilized our cutting edge equipment and our demolition experience to
achieve the accelerated time schedules required by the St. Lawrence
Seaway Commission.
